Can't get Vanguard working on Windows 7

I put my windows in test mode I start it with F8 disable driver signatures, I reinstalled valorant countless of times just can't get this piece of garbage to work.

VGK is never running also if I put windows into test mode that disable some other valuable directx components and I will get the following components are required to run this program:

DirectX runtime

How can they release something broken like this? SHAME on you riot games.

Actually this is 2 different errors.

The vgc service terminated with the following error:
Incorrect function.

Well I still fighting over starting the retarded vgc. I have now tried:
Hit the Win+R keys together to open the run dialog. Type gpedit.msc to open the local groups policy editor.

Expand ‘User Configuration’ -> ‘Administrative Templates’ -> ‘System’. Click ‘Driver Installation’.

In the right panel, double click on ‘Code Signing for Device Drivers’.
Choose ‘Enabled’ in the window that appears. In the underlying options, choose ‘Ignore’. This disables drivers signing in Windows 7, and now you can install unsigned drivers in Windows 7.

However if this is Enable then the main valorant.exe will never run with some sigature bs error (all other games on my computer do funny). If its disabled or not configured then we are back to square one.

psexec -i -s cmd.exe
So even as SYSTEM I cannot start the damn thing. F hate you now!

Elventree same prob here trying to solve for 3 weeks...... vgc is not working did you know how to solve?

Windows 7 is not more ''good''. Valorant is new realeased, it's a new game, windows 7 maybe can't handle some of the functions of valorant / vanguard. If it's possible, change at least on windows 8 or 10 better. Cheers !

HaHaHa it took me a month to fix it, if I would want to be a dick I would just say figure it out on your own but here it is:

You will need multiple things, first you will need this 2 fixes for Windows 7 (just google them):

If you have Valorant or Vanguard installed first remove them completely make sure that the vgc service is gone after removed. Then install the 2 mentioned windows hotfix.

Now this is still not enough because after this it will be crying for Xinput or other DX dlls so google and download this:

"Error (0xc000007b) From Nursalam Aslam.rar"

Now you COULD copy them to the Valorant directory but don't do it because at every patch it will do a file integrity check and delete everything from there so just extract this to somewhere like C:\DX

Now go to Computer/System Properties/Advanced/Environment Variables and down at the "System Variables box" find the Path variable and add this to the end: ;C:\DX

Reboot and thank to riot to screw with Windows 7 users! Valorant works out of the box on Windows 10 btw no need any of this there.

Elventree i wanna ask, is it needed to completely remove valorant file in riot games folder before installing the hotfix? Or just completely Uninstall the riot vanguard?

Elventree Hmm, when i want to try install those two hotfix, it said that it has been installed in my computer and then when i have done what you do, i still cant open vgc and vgk. Heelp
