VALORANT Forums

first of all i love the game. dont have a ton of time to play but i really like it.

but i ofc have issues or suggestions 🙂

  1. in ranked im a low skill player. and in low skills ppl dont give a crap. on a good day there is 2 ppl including me in voice chat. i would like a option to only play whit ppl on voice chat. even if they refuse to talk they can hear my beautiful voice calling stuff out!
  1. since i live in the EU (scandinavia) i get matched whit russian players 100% of the matches. this is a problem in most mp games. nothing wrong whit russians. but 99% cant or refuses to speak or write in english, making it impossible to communicate! sooo please please. give the russian speaking ppl there own servers!
  1. since its a free game ( it will be right ? ) cheating will be ( and is) a big problem. so some kind of verification via phone, blood, sacrifice of your first bourne. so that theres an option to only play whit ppl maby taking it a little more serious.

Thank you and HS away!

Regarding your 1st and 2nd concern, the biggest issue with that is it will affect the available pool of players that would be used to help you find both a quick and near equivalent level of skill for a match.

The more variables you add to allow players to want in a match, the harder it is for the system to try and provide you shorter queue times or a "fair" match.

Regarding your 3rd point, unfortunately the cheating world is a lucrative business and will always be a constant struggle. Steam seems to be faring decently well with their Prime account and Trust Factor system. However, they do allow the Prime status to be purchased if a player doesn't want to gain experience to reach level 21. With systems like these, at least one player up to the point of the cheater getting caught will have to experience an unfair match.

That's a great idea, in Modern Warfare an SMS verification is required to play. Something like that would be great for Valorant. And if there was a cheater, the phone number would be banned too.

Well, SMS verification at least means that there aren't as many hackers. Since they have to buy a new phone number every time they get banned. Most decide not to use cheats again due to the enormous economic expense of buying phone numbers over time. And at least that is already a step, you are right that they cannot be eradicated, but at least you reduce their number with this measure.

It's definitely a deterrent against wannabe cheaters, I won't deny that.

But it creates another industry. If you look at the need for a valid phone number for CSGO Prime accounts, a simple google search shows a website providing a service to bypass a phone number...and it's not that expensive. Without any scientific backing, I would think that certain cheaters are obsessed with having "power" and/or don't take well to the fact that they're not as good as they think they are. It would be similar to an addiction in which the "enormous economic expense" would be no issue...despite that it seems like they've already gotten a workaround for legit phone numbers.
