VALORANT Forums

Hello, Will there be fps optimization in the game? It is currently in closed beta, but I think this should continue. The more players it reaches, the better. Because fps drop in 2-3 person clashes. And I want to receive these fps optimization news 🙂

OMG 2-3 FPS thats literally nothing and is to be expected in a fire fight

TIBU I'll have to side with TIBU on this one; 2-3 frames is but a fraction in the grand scheme of things. It's especially insignificant if your hardware consistently hits 100+ FPS.

pasku The grammar made it a bit difficult, but that makes much more sense! I could see how a skirmish between two Razes could impact your FPS.

What I want to tell you is whether there will be an update on fps optimization to play the game more smoothly. I just wondered about this. Will they continue to develop things like this? Fps drop in 2-3 person clashes can make it harder to shoot enemies. Will there be any work on this? HybridMeister

Kannastr333 As I'm not an employee of Riot Games, I cannot provide you a definite answer. What I can tell you is that Riot is a company that evidently supports, improves, and optimizes their games for a very long time. Valorant is also still in beta, and thus the game isn't complete. Should your issue persist upon the full release, then it may be a problem truly worth investigating.

For now, try making sure your desktop specs match the official recommended specs from Riot Games:

Minimum Spec - 30 frames per second:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
        GPU: Intel HD 3000
Recommended Spec - 60 frames per second:
        CPU: Intel i3-4150
        GPU: Geforce GT 730
        High-end Spec - 144+ frames per second:
        CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
        GPU: GTX 1050 Ti
        PC hardware requirements:
        Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
        4GB RAM
        1GB of VRAM

It also won't hurt to ensure that your network connection is stable (in the event hardware lag is mistaken for server-side or network lag).
