why do you put people that are way below my skill bracket on my team? I do well so you punish me by giving me worse teammates? Either your elo system is broke and you don't know how to measure skill, or you are just really stupid and punish players for doing well. I shouldnt have people on my team that are completely unaware of whats going on. I understand some people have no audio, etc, but I am not talking about that. I mean you are pairing me with people who are obviously way below my skill bracket, they aren't even close. All that does is make the game way more stressful (assuming you want to win) and creates resentment amongst teammates. Then to top it all off you ban / silence people that don't get along. It's like you want discourse. Fix your matchmaking system.

3d time in raw I get into a match with our team all iron and enemy 2 bronze (its 40% of enemy team from one higher leage). This stupid matchmaking is NOT acceptable. Dont want to be a crybaby but this makes me wonna uninstall. Whats the point in a ranked system if we get owned by higher ranked team and get downranked more and more. RIPOFFRIOT maybe your opponents skill levels are different as well, so the MM system tries to balance these differences (ex. both teams got 2 silver, 2 gold, 1 plat)

DictatorZerg I think some players don't have their "real" rank yet. My first rank was something gold and 2 days later I was diamond (I played all matches with the same mates). maybe the matchmaking will improve with some time. I'm sorry for your frustration but I've got no real advise.

Sergio dont you see that its completly different problems? RIPOFRIOT describes the problem of wide range of leages in same team. Im saying that the teams should be at least from same range. So if one team has 2 bronze and 3 irons, the other team at least should not be all iron. Its entirely different problem. While the first problem is a thing it can be argued for it. For my probem there is no excuse, aside of sloppy thinking.

DictatorZerg Agreed. You should only get teammates and enemies from your league from ranks 1-2, then at rank 3, you could get rank 1 enemies from the next tier. E.g.: If you are bronze 1-2, you only get Bronze 1-3 enemies and teammates, then, if you are Bronze 3, you can get Silver 1 enemies and teammates. I'm currently bronze 2, but the amount of times iron teammates screwed up the match because of their lack of knowledge about heroes/maps/skills is infuriating. All due respect, as everyone should begin somewhere, but for the love of God, don't put complete noobs together with those who have some experience and knowledge and maybe even plan about a match/map/agent. And a lot of times (not only Iron) players don't communicate at all and don't react to my call-outs either, which makes the entire "team" aspect redundant and almost always guarantees a lost match.

Hello, I have been playing ranked quite a lot since its launch and i have various friends from immortal 1 down to silver 3. I'm going to keep this short as its mostly a rant but why the fuck can RIOT not match people of equal rank? Plat 1 should be playing with/against gold3 to plat2 when solo queueing. Why when i solo queue do i get put into a game with silvers when im now plat 1.. Its almost like RIOT's entire rank mode just takes somebodys rank and does some basic addition like plat 1 + gold 3 = plat 2.. When that clearly is fucking stupid. There are so many fundemental problems with ranked that its almost impossible to enjoy it longterm. I am a former global elite/supreme CSGO player with over 12years in the cs community. I get match MVP in pretty much every single game win or lose yet im plat 1 stuck playing with silvers and golds and the occasional diamond 2? When i play with my diamond+ friends i still get MATCH MVP yet they get greatly increase and i just get increase? Is my ELO just fucked from playing with my lower level friends? or has RIOT completely fucking lost all concept of what makes a decent ranked mode. Simply adding more ranks is a fucking lazy fix for a problem. Its not sufficient

Yes, that's how it is. You can win all day, but one serious defeat, and you are demoted in the rating... I was trying to take Plat 2, but my victories do not give a result, for that defeats immediately lower my rating, as a result I am on Gold 2. I don't understand how it works.

Riot dev´s already said that they are not happy with how things are going right now in rated. They said that the main Ranked developer quit the job and now they are looking for somebody to fix it. Might take some while and might never happen at all. Time will tell

it is so annoying to try and coordinate a plan with the weirdos you run into playing solo que.you can play brim or omen and smoke off opers yourself,but what if i want to play sage? do i haft to rely on my awful teammates to smoke for me? morrello(valorant dev) said they intentionally made it to where you cant kill opers with the vandal. so they need to nerf the operator,and other overpowered weapons,before you say i am a csgo purist. my argument is precisely the opposite. they try to give the game more depth by forcing you to use your abilities which is counter productive. abilites should give you options that you did not have in csgo instead of creating a boring routine.honestly this issue is deeply concerning for the longevity of the game. all abilities and weapons should be just as fun to play against as it is to use,but the op in this game makes me feel like I am playing with a disadvantage. If i avoid the op i feel like my options on offense are limited because there are less lanes i can contest by myself unless i ask my random teammate to smoke for me and they never do a good job,so i basically play brim or omen every game and that is boring.

Innercalm07 you gotta think outside of the box. for example: got an oper shooting at you from long and you cant get through? well if youre omen you can just smoke off their line of sight, tp in the smoke and pop out and kill them. 9/10 they wont be able to react in time. jett can also do this along with raze if your smoker coordinates with you. reyna can counter an oper pretty well with her blind. so can pheonix. its not boring if you can easily adapt. its all about being able to counter what your enemy is doing. sage can even counter an op if you play your cards right. watch other people play, practice headshots. hope this was helpful in some way

i get team mates who afk, leave, or troll, every game. more often than not. i hear them say if its not competitive y try, then i go to competitive and see all the tom foolery and casual is 2x more fun and competitive. its bs.

Why there are too much afk and leavers? They are in every second game! Wait I know why. It's because of "awesome" matchmaking where one of the side often has no chance to win because of big difference of skill in opposite teams.

I can only repeat myself:
in plat3 to dia3 elo there’s no problem with the matchmaking system. All matches are close, almost no AFKs or leavers. Just the queue times are some kind of annoying (waiting approx. 5 minutes to find a match).

I cant tell if youre serious cause the example of countering an awp by teleporting into a smoke is something that would never work in any decent elo. The enemy would just simply back off or use his fucking ears and hear that omen tp'd? maybe in your games players are just that braindead. also your argument doesnt work cause if the player with the awp uses his brain theres very little ways to counter him.

Exactly the matchmaking is so bad that there are no chances of winning cuz sometimes it just matches with players of high rank im in bronze rank but i sometimes get people in gold rank as teammates or opponents

or else i get worse teammates who are in iron and they don't know what to do i usually kill 2-3 players and when i die there's always 3-4 people in my team alive but somehow they can't even get a single kill that's most frustrating thing

and i always loose because of my teammates that are random now im n bronze 1 because of that 🙁

gimme very old post but- if you honestly believe that there are almost no ways to counter an op, you are straight garbage. i never said teleport right next to them, thats ridiculous. i just meant tp so you can get out of an opers view. the only way he could hear you tp is if you tped fairly close to him. all of my examples mentioned blocking an opers view with a smoke or wall. does that really not make sense to you?? get off the forums, it doesnt need your toxicity

Ranking system doesn´t work correct! Most Player´s doesn´t have his correct rank! If that is fixed the rest (matchmaking) comes automatic little bit later.

Rated matchmaking has been the only reason I uninstalled this game and never came back to it. I managed to reach Platin and then the game started matching me with people who are literally braindead and can't get more than 3 kills in 10 rounds against dudes who tryhard their bum off and play like Shroud. It is literally impossible to enjoy this game while soloq-ing. Devs who balance the game, create matchmaking system and optimize the game servers are terrible but artists are really amazing. Waste of good talent...

If you playing unrated matches then this is very common where new player will come to your team
Valorant is just few month ago released so they still have to make proper system of matchmaking where unskilled and new player will get their categories matchmaking.
I play smite in smite you level up recently i finish my 160 level which is High level
so whenever i play smite i get my level players
In smite new player get only practice mode till his level 8-10 to get use to it with game concept.
and practice mode not like Range practice map they keep their game maps like Arena, Conquest, Joust, Clash, Assault.
in these maps new player face Smite gods bots
I guess Valorant should start to use this method so if player leveling up so as much he play games his profile get level up which can easy to find best matchmaking.

Riot Games needs to get their act together. I swear to god, for those who look like the are purposely trying to demote so they can boost their friends just need to be stopped. If these people who are trying to derank on purpose, why can't Riot Games track how many games they did bad in, and if it is consistent with no sudden drop or spike, like, if a player gets like 20 kill one game, and 1-2 kills for like the next couple of games, that should raise a red flag to matchmaking saying that this person is trying to de-rank on purpose. I swear to god it is impossible to improve.
