Aim?

So hello!

I am very new to the tactical shooter genre. I was in Valorant Beta and I absolutely suck at aiming. There is indeed a skill gap but I have nothing but love for the game. Any pointers or tricks to help a fellow agent out? I train religiously but when it comes to live matches I absolutely fail. So a little help would be much appreciated!

CaptGavinHugo sounds sad, but "learning by doing" is a good way.
dont forget that your enemies maybe have spent hundreds and thousands of hours in FPS games.

its very important to play matches to practice instead of just doing it in the range. at the end of the day youll learn more in game. ive gotten so much better since beta so understand the grind. just practice flicks and headshots in range and try to get a good game sense in game of the maps, pre firing, pre aiming etc

Learn about pre-aiming, crosshair placement, angle advantage and the different types of peeking. Probably lower your sensitivity (the average pro eDPS is 278. (There’s some good videos on YouTube that explain all of these) and if you’re really keen, but “aimbeast” on steam.

yes playing more will help, but research is king for a new player and there is heaps you can learn that you won’t learn from just getting one-tapped 1000 times in unrated

what works for me first round or has in the past is i know that at a certain distance the opponents aim is weak. i know they will strafe putting more shots off target. so i poach a spot the pop out of then they strafe immediately at a distance hard to hit from and i just try to aim and hit the moving target its science!

just know the bullet spread and distance and then try hard.
