Do games with cheaters affect your rank if the cheater later gets banned?

So i recently played a game with a blatant cheater in competative, the player openly used wallhack and aimbot, everyone from both teams reported him so he will hopefully get banned pretty soon. We lost the game due to him cheating and my question is when the cheater gets banned will the rating adjustment be removed like it is with for example Overwatch. Even though valorant has a pretty good anticheating program i've run into a few cheaters in the 100+ games i've played and it's very frustrating when you're winning a competative game just to see an enemy toggle on their word.exe file to suddenly go from 5-10 to 25-10 in KD. It would be nice to have some sort of reassurance that your rating will adjust back after the cheater gets banned.

Unfortunately it doesn't nor I do not believe it will be a thing. Reality is if you lost you lost. regardless of a cheater. I wouldn't worry about the cheaters TBH. they aren't in every game and they will eventually get bored of getting banned all the time. The anti-cheat system will automatically detect the cheats in game.

y844kst I would worry about the cheaters because in a competative game such as Valorant that has "bragged" about a good anticheat system i've been met by cheaters more than once in competative and it's incredibly frustrating as you can probably imagine to play against especially when your own rank gets affected after such a game, the standard has to be set higher than "don't worry they will eventually be banned" in a free game where people can literally just make a new account and cheat there aswell.

The cheating itself, while very frustrating, wouldn't be that big of a problem if Riot wouldn't have bragged on and on about their revolutionary, allegedly impenetrable anti-cheat system, which failed spectacularly not only within the first 2 days in Beta (which is, let's face it, bound to happen as it's in beta), but now as well.

well they cant just make a new account all the time. its hard to get past it because its a DNS ban. in lamen terms that means it bans your wifi connection, not just your account. of course you could do some voodoo magic that i dont know enough about and change your DNS but thats a lot of effort
